Greggs Regular Mocha Recipe…

If you want to prepare it at home here is the recipe…

  • To make a regular mocha, I start by brewing a shot of espresso with freshly ground coffee beans. If I don’t have espresso, I use a stovetop espresso maker, an espresso machine, or a strong coffee blend. You can do the same.
  • Then I add 1-2 teaspoons of cocoa powder or chocolate syrup in a cup. You can adjust the chocolaty amount according to your liking mocha.
  • Pour hot espresso over cocoa powder or chocolate syrup in a cup. Stir well to combine flavors.
  • After this step, you should steam or heat the milk until it’s hot and slightly frothy, as I do. Whenever I don’t have a milk steamer, I heat the milk on the stove or in the microwave, then I whisk it vigorously to create froth.
  • Then, I put the steamed milk into the cup with the espresso and cocoa mixture, stirring gently to blend.
  • I sometimes top my mocha with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder or chocolate shavings for an extra touch of flavor. This is optional.
  • Now our homemade Regular mocha is ready to enjoy.
